I am in love with the Swirly Bird bundle. There are just so many possibilities to explore. I crammed a ton of them into this month's class (and I've seen sooooo many more than this).
Now, just looking at the framelits, I would not have come up with this idea on my own. But I saw the cute tree on Pinterest and now I can't see this leafy swirl without seeing a tree :) It is the perfect size to coordinate with the tree builder punch trunk.
This was also my first time breaking out 'real' watercolor paper. I've always done my watercoloring on white cardstock before, but this time I tried out the real thing. So Pretty! I'm gonna have to start using this paper more often :) The watercolor look on it just turns out so much better.
Once again I used the fun new in-color ribbon. I ran some fast fuse along the edge of the card and folded the ribbon back and forth on it to create the ruffles. For the ones that wanted to stand straight up I also added some fast fuse on the bottom side of the ruffle to stick it down flat.

Sand & Sunshine Digi Kit
So, in a prior post I had alluded to the fact that I'm taking a class where I learn how to do some digital designing.
I. Am. Loving. It!!
I still doubt I will have time to actually become a 'real' designer and sell in a store, but making this kit has been seriously fun. And best part (for you) is that it will be available after class at SNP for free :)
So, now that I can really start to see my stuff coming together, I wanted to share with you some snippets of what I've been making.
First step, pick out a kit theme and color scheme.
And check :) Loving these colors and planning to make a lake beach theme to go around with them. Bet you can't wait to see more!

Boats, Boats, Boats
In our blog hop last week I introduced the Swirly Bird cards I had created for class this month. Now it is time to see another one of these beauties up close.
I'm loving the cute little boat stamp pieces. It is perfect to use the long scribbles as the waves underneath (not that I did that for this card, but an awesome possibility none the less).
This is great for any guy cards you could need. Here I made for a baby boy, but it could be for a boy birthday, and my friend changed up this card to have a father's day sentiment on it as well.
You could easily make this layout with just paper and it would be adorable. But I love how it looks dressed up with the little strips of blingy glimmer paper along the flag. And the new in-color ribbon this year is so fun in all it's ruffled goodness.

Creative Inking Blog Hop: New Catalog Pretties
Welcome to the June Creative Inking Blog Hop!
This month we are showing off all sorts of goodies from the New Catalog! Have you seen this gem yet? If not, make sure you are ready to drool while you page through it. It is gorgeous!!!
One of the first stamps sets I NEEDED to have was Swirly Bird, and the matching framelits of course :) This set has so many possibilities- and I loved the swirls so much- reminded me of the Paper Pumpkin die-cuts that we had a few months back. So very pretty! And to make it even sweeter, you can get the two together as a bundle and save 10%. **happy dance**
Lucky for me, this bundle was on the preorder for demos, so I've had extra time to play with it, and I planned my class around it this month. Check out the fun variety of cards we made:
If you look closely, you'll also noticed that all the colors here are unfamiliar. That is because these cards all use the new In Colors. Aren't they yummy :) My favorite is Peek-a-boo Peach... but I'm extremely partial to anything resembling orange, so it isn't really much of a contest ;)
For today's hop, check out the details of the first kite card.
I'm loving the vellum 'wind' lines in the background. And it was so much fun to watercolor the one cloud. Fun story- the first time I saw the stamp set I absolutely could not figure out what 'those triangles' were for. I couldn't in my head see that they were to be combined to form the kit. When someone told me it was a complete "DUH!" moment for me.
Here it is from a little bit different of an angle. You can see my vellum is really just kind of floating on it's layer on the card. I only attached it down in a couple spots where the glue would hide behind the kite and clouds. Makes it nice and wispy! The real ribbon ties also add an element of dimension to the card (although there is a stamped tie as well- which could be used for the kit or the bird... but it is SMALL so be very careful not to loose it!!).
Hope you enjoyed this card. Flutterby again soon to see details from more of the designs ;)
Now off you hop to see what Kristine has prepared for us today.

Scraps N Pieces June Blog Train
So for those of you that are my usual readers... I've been trying out something new. Ever since My Digital Studio was discontinued I've been looking for a new way to continue digital scrapbooking. Eventually I landed with using Photoshop Elements, even though it has a much steeper learning curve than some other choices like MMS.
I found that the Scraps N Pieces community has been a great help with that. They offer some free classes- one for beginner scrapbooking with Photoshop, and two different technique classes. Then, they also have a designer mentoring class. I decided to give it a try since I've been having so much fun with their other classes- and I knew I would continue learning a ton, even if I don't have the time commitment to become a full designer. It has been an amazing experience so far!
As a little extra practice I decided to give their blog train a try this month. So here are some freebies you can use in your digital scrapbooking :) I enjoyed creating them for you!
Now jump on the train and go pick up all the other freebies!

The New Catalog is LIVE!!
Eek! I'm so excited to finally share this with you guys. When I got to see it last month I was so impressed with some of the new products I've been having a hard time keeping them a secret :)
But today is the day. The new catalog is here!!! And now share I must! I hope you love it as much as I do.
If you (like me) can't wait for our next class to get your hands on some of these products, just order online using the hostess code X33VAQZN. That way I can credit it towards our next class and you will get the usual class discount with your order (so $5 off class for every $25 in orders).
Now- to highlight just a few of my favorites :)
This is my top must have! It is full of wonderful sayings and beautifully intricate die-cuts. *Squeal!*
Aren't these little critters adorable! I better have some friends with babies this year cause this stamp set will be perfect for welcome baby cards :)
If you loved the swirls in Paper Pumpkin a couple months ago, you will love this bundle. And there are so many things you can do with the stamp set- making this a really versatile pick.
I'm loving these new enamel shapes. The metalics are my fav, but they also come in all the color families as well!
Alright? Did I wet your appetite? Check out the full catalog HERE, and then shop the store HERE. And don't forget to use the hostess code X33VAQZN for your order. I would love it if you could help me earn some cool supplies for us to use in classes this summer!
Flutterby again soon!
