Here is the last card we made at our spring class this past Thursday. Isn't it adorable :) I just love the new little butterfly punch- it is so cute and sweet.
This technique is called Negative Image punching. Usually when you punch out a shape you keep the punched portion, but in this case we did the very opposite and kept the paper the shape was removed from. As a tip- in order to do a double punch like this, first punch the middle shape (in this case the butterfly). That way when you punch the outer shape (the scalloped square) you can center the butterfly inside. Cool trick, right :)
